Territory Sales Positions
As a growing medical device manufacturing company featuring disposable and innovative products for respiratory care, anesthesia and critical care, Westmed is currently recruiting for territory sales positions throughout the US.
Summary. Responsible for selling medical products to hospitals, clinics, physicians, healthcare professionals plus dealers and distributors. Maintain relationships with all accounts.
Qualifications. The optimal candidate for a Westmed territory sales position will possess a four-year college degree, or working equivalent, and have 2 to 3 years (minimum) of medical device sales experience. Prior experience with respiratory care or anesthesia products and markets, as well as dealer management experience, is a plus. A clinical background in respiratory therapy, while not required, would be especially beneficial. Strong selling and organizational skills, excellent clinical and business communication skills and a facility for critical thinking and problem solving are among the personal traits that would make you a top performer in this position. Ability to master complex technical terminology and nomenclature is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 7 computer operating system and file management system, as well as the latest Microsoft Office Suite, are required.
Duties and Job Requirements. This is a full-time salaried position (see below) that may periodically also involve early-hours or after-hours visits to hospitals and other healthcare facilities as well as medical practitioners. Forty to 60% travel is necessary to cover most of our territories. Occasional weekend travel may be necessary. Territory sales representatives will make appointments, conduct in-person sales calls, distribute technical literature, demonstrate products, conduct training inservices to individuals and small to medium-size groups, coordinate customer purchase activities, provide price quotes, negotiate pricing for products and services, provide dealer management services, maintain detailed and accurate records and reports plus conduct other activities, as required, to support customers and maintain high quality standards.
